This painting was recently accepted into the Air Force Art Program collection and is now on display at the Pritzker Military Library (http://www.pritzkermilitarylibrary.org/Home/2012-Midwest-Air-Force-Artists-Exhibition.aspx) , 104 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago. It's part of the Midwest Air Force Artists Exhibition at the Pritzker between now and July 20, 2012. The painting depicts the crew of the Spirit of Berlin during the delivery of a sculpture created by Veryl Goodnight (http://www.verylgoodnight.com/)  called "The Day the Wall Came Down." The horses wrapped in plastic and duct tape for protection during their flight to Germany are trampling down the Berlin Wall. Only one of the sections of the more than life size piece is shown in the painting. The sculpture was delivered to Templehof Airport on the 50th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. It was given to the people of Berlin from the people of the United States and is displayed at the Allied Museum in Berlin.
