Pt. Betsie Beach House

This fine old house was close to the Pt. Betsie Lighthouse on Lake Michigan's eastern shore. The house sat back from the beach, nestled and protected, in the sand dunes. Must be great to sit on that front porch early on a beautiful summer morning with your first cup of coffee and watch the lake.

Canadian Fishing Boats

The view from Pine Grove Park across the St. Clair River looking into Canada. The truck in the background is heading into Canada from Michigan on the Blue Water Bridge. This was late spring and there was still quite a lot of ice flowing down the river out of Lake Huron.

A quiet and peaceful Black River in Port Huron, Michigan. Looking out toward the St. Clair River with Canada in the background. New one in a group of watercolors that I'm working on these days. Going back this weekend to check out more scenery and a high school reunion is on the schedule too.

Ft. Gratiot Light in Port Huron, Michigan from Lighthouse beach. Sorry for the photo quality. It was a quick record shot.

Two recent watercolors of favorite cars and drivers.

At the top: Peter Revson, in a McLaren braking for turn five at Road America 1972 and Don Devine in a Scarab MkII.
